Has anyone here made yay flags? Do you have any pictures? Particularly of them in use at the wedding..
Are there any like reeeeaaalllly simple instructions on how to make them. I am helping a friend make them for her wedding tomorrow night and neither one of us are very good at DIY stuff, so the easier the better.
I don't have any pictures, but if you're doing what I imagine from what I've seen before, I think it's exceptionally simple.
1. Print "yay" or variations thereof in your choice of style, font and color on sturdy cardstock, front and back if you want it on both sides. 2. Cut into desired shape, or leave rectangular as is. 3. Wrap one end of the cardstock around a sturdy dowel, making sure the edge you're wrapping is long enough to securely glue to the other side of the cardstock once you've successfully wrapped. 4. Glue.
I mean, I don't know if I'm just assuming it's that simple, or if it really is. I'm interested in what others have to say.
The fabric ones that you pictured are from someone in the community... and I remember she posted a tutorial on how she made them. You might dig a around a little!
