ATHF?

This is probably a stretch but...I really, really want an Aqua Teen Hunger Force garter for my wedding day, I think FI would really get a kick out of it. I'm not crafty so I can't make it, but FMIL is super crafty and I know she'd be willing to make it for me but I can't find any fabric anywhere. I found some ATHF charms, but I don't know how I'd attach them to a garter. Any suggestions/ideas appreciated!

Thanks!

And rock on for ATHF. I want to see it when you are done!

Thanks, my biggest challenge is finding fabric that will work or charms that I can attach. :/

I'd say you are pretty screwed on the fabric. I was googling around to see if I could find ATHF bedsheets or anything with a repeated pattern on it and I couldn't find anything other than t shirts. You said you got some charms- what are they like? Anything with a loop can be sewn in easily (looping the thread around the loop in the charm- not that I know how to sew, but basically just tying a knot around it with the needle and thread) other than that.... I don't know.... :(

They're Italian Charms...which is why I'm not sure how'd they work. :-/

mount the italian charm into a circle of that crafty-clay-stuff and then glue the whole thing onto the garter. it sounds a little odd, but it looks really nice once it's done :)

Ohhh, now that's something I didn't think of that may just work!

It might be difficult to find actual ATHF charms but what about charms that just symbolize them? Like french fries, a shake, and a meatball?

Fry:

Shake: (Doesn't look like him but it IS one)

Meatball:
I can't find a picture, but what if you use one of those little fuzzy balls like what ou get at a craft store. They come in a variety of sizes and are sometimes used for noses or tails.

That is a neat idea but not quite what I am looking for with the charms. Thanks for your suggestion!

You could make a plain white guarter and used buttons or something? I found these:

I tried searching for ATHF items in things like ribbon, head bands, boxers with small print and didn't find anything. If you could find a shirt, or a pair of boxers with small enough print of the guys you could butcher it for this project, I'm just not finding anything =/

Maybe try to find a silk screening place that could do it for you? At least make the fabric and then your FMIL could sew it.

Well yeah, she can sew almost anything but she didn't really have ideas on how to conjure up fabric either hehe.

I *might* be able to make you some fabric. You don't need much of it, so it shouldn't be too hard or time consuming. email me at stephaniewallace@gmail.com if you want to discuss :)
